Challenges:
• The dual-sided platform serving both clients and freelancers required each group's distinct needs to be met
• New visitors often assumed that freelance work was only for small, task-based projects

• New visitors lacked trust in Elance, didn't understand how it works, and lacked a sense of security
• Lack of inspiration or "wow" factor
Design Goals:
• Provide structure and content effectively serving the two different groups (clients and freelancers)
• Showcase the breadth and scope of freelance talent and work that could be done on the platform
• Instill a sense of trust, provide clear education on how it works, and offer users a safety net to try it out
• Inspire both clients and freelancers by highlighting user success stories and customer testimonials
My Contribution:
• Designed several concepts for homepage redesign
• Iterated and refined designs based on internal and external feedback, and delivered final designs
• Worked closely with Product Marketing to refine copy/messaging
• Tested in dev environment, filed bugs and delivered punch list of items to be fixed
